Preschool Gymnastics

The Sweet Peas program: physical, social and cognitive development through movement and play.

At R&R Gymnastics, we use the Sweet Peas program to promote physical, social, and cognitive development through movement and play. Our classes help children build coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, and confidence while developing listening skills, following instructions, and teamwork. Through gymnastics activities, children also explore colors, counting, shapes, and spatial awareness.

Two Peas (Ages 2–3): our Two Peas class introduces little ones to movement and early gymnastics fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment. Children explore running, balancing, rolling, and weight transfers while learning about colors, shapes, and numbers. This is a parent-participation class, meaning parents or guardians actively participate alongside their children at each station. Class times: Wednesday, 3:00–3:30 PM and Saturday, 9:00–9:30 AM (Saturday is one combined class with Three Peas for now).

Three Peas (Ages 3–4): Three Peas builds on early movement skills by introducing gymnastics fundamentals such as rolls, cartwheels, and beginner beam and bar activities. Children develop coordination, balance, strength, and flexibility while practicing sequencing, listening, and following instructions. Activities also incorporate colors and shapes to support early cognitive development. This is a parent-participation class, with parents or guardians actively involved throughout the session. Class times: Wednesday, 3:30–4:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00–9:30 AM. Saturday is one combined Two Peas and Three Peas class for now; once it fills, Three Peas gets its own class at 9:30 AM.

Preschool Gymnastics (Ages 4–5): our Preschool class helps children transition toward independent, structured learning through gymnastics. Athletes work on forward rolls, jumps, balance beam activities, and other foundational skills while developing coordination, balance, strength, and flexibility. Classes also incorporate letter and number recognition, sequencing, listening, and following instructions to support early learning and prepare children for the transition to kindergarten.

This is an independent class where children participate with their instructors and peers, building confidence, independence, and a foundation for future gymnastics classes.

Coming back in the spring: One Pea Open Play (6 months – 2), once our dedicated space is built.
